Community Media Center to Host and Stream Three Primary Candidate Forums
The Community Media Center (CMC) will provide Carroll County voters with live access to three Republican Primary candidate forums later this month, featuring candidates for Board of Commissioners District 2, Carroll County Sheriff, and Maryland House of Delegates District 5. All forums will be held at the Community Media Center, 1301 Washington Road, Westminster, Md., and are open to the public.
“Local elections have a direct impact on our community, and these forums are an opportunity for residents to hear from the candidates in an accessible and unbiased setting,” said Bob Blubaugh, Managing Editor-Digital Content, Community Media Center. “Our goal is to make it easier for voters to stay informed and engaged throughout the election process.”

District 2 Board of Commissioners Republican Primary Forum
Thursday, May 21, 2026 | 6:30 p.m.
Presented in partnership with the Finksburg Planning and Citizens’ Council, Inc. (FPACC), the forum will feature candidates Kenneth A. Kiler, Todd Tracey, and Kim Zentz. The forum will be moderated by Michael Davis, vice- president of FPACC.
Carroll County Sheriff Republican Primary Forum
Friday, May 22, 2026 | 6:00 p.m.
Hosted by the Community Media Center, the forum will feature candidates Jim DeWees and Jay Landsman Jr. The forum will be moderated by Bob Blubaugh, CMC’s Managing Editor-Digital Content. District 5 Delegates Republican Primary Forum
Thursday, May 28, 2026 | 7:00 p.m.
Hosted by the Community Media Center and moderated by Bob Blubaugh, participating candidates are April R. Rose, Sallie B. Taylor, Chris Tomlinson, and Steve Whisler.
All forums will air live on cable channels HD-1072 and channel 19 and on YouTube and will be recorded for rebroadcast until Election Day on June 23, 2026. For specific air dates and times, visit the CMC program schedule available at www.carrollmediacenter.org.
