Shaun Eddy is the CEO and a partner of Oxford Planning Group and has always had a strong desire to help clients define and reach their unique financial goals. “When clients realize that with proper planning, many goals are possible, it’s incredibly rewarding,” says Shaun.

Shaun graduated from the University of Maryland and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®). He also earned a Master’s Degree in Financial Analysis (MSFA) from the College for Financial Planning. Shaun holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) designation, which promotes a culture of fiduciary responsibility, employing and providing a prudent process in investment practices. The CFP® and AIF® designations both carry a code of ethics that includes a commitment to fiduciary standards, which is an obligation to act in a client’s best interests always.

Shaun has over 25 years of experience working with individuals and businesses. He served as past President and Chairman of the Board of the Financial Planning Association’s Maryland chapter, and as past Chairman of the Membership advisory group of the Financial Planning Association in Denver, Shaun has enjoyed working with many of the industry’s most influential professionals. Shaun currently serves on the board of directors of the Rotary Club of Columbia Patuxent, Heritage Housing Partners Corp. and the Howard Community College Education Foundation.  In 2018 Shaun served on Governor Hogan’s Task Force on Long Term Care. He has served as a Director with the Boards of Howard County Red Cross, HC Drug Free, and as past Chairman of the Housing and Community Development Board. He is also a graduate of Leadership Howard County Premier, an organization dedicated to empowering individuals and strengthening their community.

Shaun Eddy has been a speaker for the Financial Planning Association, the Maryland Accountants Association and the Maryland Institute of Certified Financial Planners. Shaun was 2005 FPA of Maryland’s Planner of the Year and has been a guest panelist on Wall Street Week, a nationally syndicated TV series.

Growing up in an Air Force family, Shaun enjoyed living all over the world and for the last 30 years, has made Howard County, Md., his home. A black belt in judo, Shaun trains and teaches at Hui-O Judo where he helps individuals learn judo, self-discipline and mutual respect of others. He also enjoys golf and spending quality time with his wife, Tricia, and their family and friends.
