Lost Mountain Group is an independent 501c3 nonprofit organization that pairs retired military working dogs as canine companions with US Veterans at no cost to the Veteran.  We are based in both Carroll County, MD, and Fauquier County, VA (where our Founder is located).  To date, we have paired over 37 canine companions with Veterans, 5 of whom are in Carroll County.  When we rescue a retired MWD, the canine then rescues the Veteran after the pairing--- in part, we are saving two lives!
