The City of Westminster is seeking an energetic individual with strong interpersonal skills to serve as the Parking Enforcement Officer (PEO) in the police department. The PEO is a non-sworn position who is highly visible in the downtown area of the community.
Primary Responsibilities:
This individual performs routine parking enforcement work in designated areas of the City in accordance with state laws and City ordinances and codes.
The PEO monitors parking areas on foot and issues warnings and parking citations to vehicles parked in violation, tracks and reports broken parking meters, and completes certain administrative tasks within the police department.
Education and Certification Requirements:
Requires possession of a valid Class C driver’s license and a High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma GED; or Equivalent combination of education, training and related experience.
Work Environment and Pay:
Work shift is primarily Monday-Friday during normal business hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday.
