On October 18, Maryland will host a special Agent Orange Memorial and Pinning Ceremony dedicated to recognizing the sacrifices of those affected by one of the most lasting consequences of the Vietnam War. This memorial will be the first of its kind in Maryland dedicated to honoring Veterans and families impacted by Agent Orange.
Agent Orange was a powerful herbicide used during the Vietnam War that exposed many service members to dioxin, a highly toxic chemical linked to numerous cancers, chronic illnesses, neurological disorders, and birth defects that have impacted multiple generations of families.
Many Vietnam Veterans continue to live with these consequences decades later, while countless families continue to carry this burden alongside them.
We hope you'll join us as we recognize those affected, and honor their sacrifices.
